View across to
Kilmartin from the side of the valley. The dark
clump of trees on the right hide the graveyard
that dates as far back as the thirteenth century.
The white building houses the Kilmartin Museum,
which is adjacent to the visitor centre. Whilst
the number of buildings that make up Kilmartin is
pretty small, the area is rich in archaeological
sites of significance, especially its linear
burial cairns, standing stones & stone
circles, and ring-marked rocks. At the foot of
the valley lies the natural hill fort of Dunadd.
