Many prehistoric Cup
and Ring marked rocks lie about the Kilmartin
Region. This one is located in the central part
of the valley. The significance of the markings
has never been known. To give a sense of scale,
the double ringed marking to the lower right of
the image is approximately 20-25 centimetres (9
inches) across.
