The cup-and-ring marked
rocks of Achnabreck have many rings surrounding
the "cups" - in the image above, near
the centre left, one of these cup & rings has
been "pecked off". Did these represent
sites of meeting? Were they ancient maps or
guides to sources of food or shelter? Did they
have burial or territorial significance? As
mentioned previously with the Baluachraig set,
the answer remains unknown.
